For more than forty years, North Shore Veterinary Hospital has been an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). This means we are subject to regular evaluations to ensure we comply with the association's high-quality standards of care.
These standards cover nearly every aspect of a veterinary hospital including:
Only 15% of animal hospitals in North America are AAHA-accredited. At North Shore Veterinary Hospital, we are proud to make this claim and are committed to serving you and your pet. We invite you to learn more about our team that helps maintain our standing as one of the best veterinary hospitals in Duluth and the surrounding area.
We want you and your pet to feel comfortable in our hospital, so please feel free to visit us in person at any time. Meanwhile, we encourage you take a virtual tour of our facility.
Our house call service is available by appointment. This service is offered only in Minnesota, and there are some restrictions on how far we can travel. Contact us for more information about scheduling a home visit for your pet.
To best serve our clients, we request that you schedule an appointment in advance. Appointments are available throughout the day, and every effort is made to see each patient at his or her scheduled time. Arriving 5-10 minutes before your appointment will facilitate a timely consultation.
If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, please call 24 hours in advance so the time reserved for your pet will be available for another patient that needs attention.
As a full-service hospital, we occasionally see unscheduled emergencies, which can sometimes delay our appointment schedule. We appreciate your understanding if a critically ill or injured patient needs to be seen out of turn.
Our payment options for pet care are convenient and affordable. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards. We ask that payment be made when services are rendered. We will also provide you with a reliable estimate before we perform veterinary care on your pet.
We understand that services can sometimes be hard to pay for. That’s why we accept—and recommend—CareCredit. CareCredit allows you to make smaller, low-interest payments on your veterinary bill. Finances no longer have to be the deciding factor when choosing the best care for your pet.
Having a pet in the family is an investment, both emotionally and financially, so when it comes to pet insurance, it’s smart to be informed. The Best Pet Insurance and The Pet Insurance Review are helpful resources to determine which provider is right for you.
